My Best

Do you feel like you are “Giving Your Best” in all that you do?

Why or Why not?

Do you feel like you are just trying to make it through the day?

Do you plan your day out or do you just “wing it”?

How do you feel at the end of the day?
Fulfilled
Satisfied
Discouraged
Tired

How do you usually start your day off?
Coffee
Breakfast
It’s all a Blur...
Prayer, Bible Reading, Devotions

Starting your day off with God can make a huge difference.

Do you make time for yourself at some point throughout the day?
(It is very important for us to take time to recharge and refocus.)

We can’t GIVE our Best if we aren’t AT our Best.

We can’t be AT our Best if we are tired, over-worked, and overwhelmed.

Are you spreading yourself too thin...trying to take on too much and be SUPER WOMAN?

When you choose to do EVERYTHING....you can’t do ANYTHING well.

So let’s take inventory...

What are you investing your time in?
Work
School
Family (Immediate or Extended)
Friends
Serving Others (Volunteering, Outreach, etc.)
Church & Church Related Activities
Hobbies
Exercise
Cleaning House
Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Entertainment (TV, Movies, Sports, Internet/Computer)
Developing your relationship with God through prayer, Bible reading, and studying.
...and the list goes on.

What does it mean to INVEST?
To spend or devote for future advantage or benefit.
To use, give, or devote as to achieve something.
To devote morally or psychologically as to a purpose.

So let me ask you the question again...What are you INVESTING your time in?

Are you making GOOD investments or BAD investments?

Do you spend your time FRIVOLOUSLY or with a PURPOSE?

God has given us 24 hours in a day.
It is up to us to make the most of them and bring Honor and Glory to Him in all that we do.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31

We must INVEST or time wisely.

You must determine what is most important in this season of your life.

You may need to push aside some things, at least for now, so you can “Give Your Best” to the more important things.

What are your PRIORITIES?

Are these God’s Priorities for you life?

Today’s priorities may not be tomorrow’s priorities.

Our priorities will change as we go through different seasons of our lives.

“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven...” -  Ecclesiastes 3

What are some things that you feel are important but you have not been making a Priority?

What are some things that you would like to invest your time in but haven’t...for whatever reason?

Make a list of those things.

Is there a way that you could rearrange you Priorities in order to make time for some of those things?

Maybe you don’t need to push anything aside.
Maybe you just need to manage your time more efficiently and eliminate distractions.

Spend some time thinking about this throughout the week.
Sit down and write out a schedule if you have to.
Come up with a Plan-of-Action.

Arrange your life in a way that will allow you to have time to “Give Your Best” to what’s important.

Don’t forget to make time for yourself!!

And most IMPORTANTLY don’t forget to make time for God!!

Don’t Be a Martha!!

“38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’[k] feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ‘Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.’

41 And Jesus[l] answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.’” – Luke 10:38-42
